BUILDING A CUSTOM LEGO ENGINE

Brick building can be therapeutic which is why you need bricks. LEGO® bricks that is.

V8 Chevy Big Block Inspired LEGO® Engine MOC

Over the past few years, I've compounded unhealthy levels of stress. Seeking relief, I discovered a new hobby that revolved around auto restoration. However, my wife and I quickly realized how expensive this could be.

When waiting for car parts or weather to get better, I decided to fill my spare time by revisiting a childhood pastime.

As a kid I used to dump tons of LEGO bricks from my popcorn tin containers all over my bedroom floor.

I'd spent countless hours constructing things from spaceships to cars, even creating tanks for my G.I. Joe action figures.

Building something from nothing was always fun and very therapeutic. With that sentiment in mind, I bought a few LEGO® sets and started building.

Nevertheless, building with real bricks wasn't enough. So I found a LEGO® design tool called Bricklink Studio.

Bricklink Studio Custom LEGO Engines

The software has virtually every LEGO® piece ever made. So I started to craft my own creations, better known as a LEGO MOC.

Stepping out of my comfort zone, I'm excited to share one of our first LEGO® MOC instructions: a miniature brick engine inspired by a classic V6 Chevy Big Block.

This MOC doesn’t require lots of parts and even has its very own engine stand. Check out the free instructions below to get started.

We’ve also launched custom Brick Engine Kits made with genuine LEGO® for sale on our ebay shop.
