1. UNISTRUIT SLIDING TOOL WALL
PARTS LIST
8’x4’ 1/2 inch plywood
One of the simplest uses for unistrut is to create a sliding tool wall. Begin by attaching a few unistrut hangers to the ceiling joists; the unistrut will then slide easily into these hangers. Next, take a piece of plywood and mount two unistrut trolley wheels to it.
Accessorize your tool wall and slide the wall right into the unistrut. We wrote and recorded the full unistrut sliding tool wall here.
2. UNISTRUT SHELVES
A Unistrut shelving system is great for both the garage and various rooms in your home. If you decide to install one indoors, consider using high-quality birch wood and your favorite color stain for the shelves.
The shelves are mounted using horizontal Unistrut bars, which are sometimes referred to as cantilever brackets. These brackets are available in various lengths to suit your needs.
Note: Just make sure you mount your vertical unistrut into wall studs with some sturdy lag bolts for proper support.

If your garage has an accessible attic, then this unistrut garage winch lifting system will save your back. For this setup, you mount a piece of unistrut to your attic ceiling joist using unistrut hangers. Then you can use a pair of 4 wheel trolly sliders attached to a winch. The winch can then slide into position to lift items from your garage floor into the attic.
The video from Silver Cymbal shows how the unistrut with a hoist can is used inside a workshop attic, but this setup can also used in a home garage too. Just make sure you have a large enough opening to lift whatever items you want into your attic space.
